True conversation:
me: Man, my middle finger really hurts.
hubby: Why?
me: I don't know. It's weird because it's just that finger.
hubby: Maybe you should stop flipping people off.
me: Very funny. If you hadn't noticed it's my right hand. If that was the cause it would have been my left hand. Other drivers can't see it if I use my right hand.
You see, my middle finger on my right hand has been hurting for days. At first I figured I sprained it somehow. You know how many things I do with my middle finger? Like open soda cans, carry my purse, change dirty diapers. No? Exactly! I couldn't figure out why in the world just THAT finger would be sore. I had vision of some strange arthritis sneaking up on me. I was worried that this was just the beginning. Pretty soon I wouldn't be able to use any of my fingers.
I really wanted to schedule an appointment with the doctor. But, how would that look? He'd probably be thinking the same thing my husband did. And I really like to keep up my stellar, good girl image for others. So, I decided to wait it out a few days.
It just so happened that those few days were days I was off of work. And the pain seemed to fade. But, the morning I went back to work, the pain came back better than ever. Guess what I was doing when it came back.
READING BLOGS! These dang things are giving me pain! I have so many blogs in my Google Reader and over the weekend I miss out on a bunch of posts, so I catch up on Mondays.
And that STUPID SCROLL BUTTON on the mouse is what's causing my pain! Can you believe it? Now it's even more embarrassing to go to the doctor! So, I now view blogs on my laptop that has a touch pad. But, what if my finger tips start hurting?
Anyone for audio blogs?
