Three Things Meme

Tagged for this meme by MoodSwingingMommy.  My first tag.  Honestly, I didn't even know what a meme really was, so I Googled it (as she suggested) and found out more than I ever wanted to know.  Most importantly, I learned that I should stop pronouncing it "me-me," as in:  it's all about me!  Apparently it's more like "rhymes with theme," which makes sense.  Others say it rhymes with gem, or sort of short for "memory."  Also makes sense. 

Let's see how this gem of a theme goes, shall we:

Three Things That Scare Me:

1. Zombies (unlikely threat, but scare me nonetheless)
2. Clowns (unless they are French, in which case I love them)
3. Losing my boys

1. Eddie Izzard
2. Andy Richter (Conan's not the same without him)
3. My friend Jarrod (his wife and I are plotting on convincing him to start a blog, so you too will be able to share in the funny)

Three Things I Love

1. The sun glistening on Mobile Bay
2. Nachos
3. Carnivals (apparently eating nachos at a carnival on Mobile Bay would be my ideal day)

Three Things I Hate

1. The Hills Have Eyes
2. "I told you so" moments, because, well, I told you so!
3. Clerks that hate their job and take it out on customers (sweetheart, let me tell you about my job changing adult diapers in a psych ward and then you can roll your eyes and sigh over how much you loathe scanning my carton of milk)

1. Spatial problems
2. The Mommy Wars.  I mean, seriously, it can't be that black & white.
3. Politics.  Yep, the whole thing.

Three Things I'm Doing Right Now

1. Waiting for an email from one crazy eBay customer
2. Drinking chocolate milk
3. Telling myself I won't be tired in the morning.

Three Things I Want To Do Before I Die

1. Spend time in Italy
2. See my boys get married and have children
3. Learn to be a better Catholic and not feel awkward about it.

Three Things I Can Do

1. Teach both children and adults how to read without making them feel self-conscious
2. Develop and print my own film
3. Baby sign language

Three Things I Can't Do

1. That tongue-rolling thing like when you say "ariba!"
2. Keep fresh flowers in my house for more than a day without going into allergy-overload
3. Not cry during most of Sarah McClachlan's songs (even the one in Toy Story 2 about "when somebody loved me")

1. Clark Howard's financial advice
2. Alegria by Cirque Du Soleil
3. What your children are saying.  No matter how young.

Three Things You Should Never Listen To

1. Advice from someone who needs more help than you do (this is from my husband's "Marky Mark Rule":  Don't take fitness advice from someone that is not at least as fit as you are)
2. Whatever "they" are saying.  "They" rarely know what they are talking about.
3. Closed-minded opinions

1. Not having flood insurance
2. Spending more time with my (soon-to-be-ex) boyfriend than my out-of-town family that came down just to see me in a high school sorority ball
3. Not insisting that the hospital staff at both of my sons' births let me hold my baby immediately after he was born for as long as I damn well pleased
