We had a fantastic time at Gulf Coast Bloggers Anonymous, er, playgroup today. I will happily go into more detail later, but for now a big thank you to the Queen of Shake-Shake and all of the other great moms I mentioned in my last post. Pants and Cheeks couldn't have had a better time with your children. Especially Pants.
Tonight, though, I'm distracted. This Sunday, I had an unexpected reminder of what our life was like before we lost everything in Hurricane Katrina and was stunned at the flood of grief that came rushing in and splashing out, despite my best efforts to stem the tide. I've kept myself busy enough to just not think about it this week, until tonight when I came upon a post by Charming Bitch.
I am going to tell ya'll all about what I'm beating around the bush about later. Until then, please read August by Charming Bitch. Whatever time you would normally spend reading my blather, just read hers instead. Only it's not blather.
I left the first comment on the post if you want a sneak preview of what's to come here.
I'm still getting to know her and her story. I obviously haven't even scratched the surface, but what I've seen has resonated with me.
